Welcome to Christchurch Therapy

Well here we go…. And welcome to the first official ever blog post for Christchurch Therapy.

Firstly I would like to welcome everyone who is visiting the website and thank you for taking the time to have a look around.

 

I thought I would take this chance to give a quick introduction to not only myself, but also Christchurch Therapy. Also how these blog posts are going to be structured moving forward.

In short – Christchurch Therapy is a mental wellness practice that is designed specifically to help people through some of the most challenging times that life can throw at us.

 

 

 

At Christchurch Therapy, the focus is on helping you move forward in your life.

Whether it’s moving on from your anxiety, depression, low mood or working towards a change in lifestyle.

Focusing on the future, alongside learning practical tools, you can start seeing the results you want.

 

On a personal note:

For those who haven’t had a chance to meet me just yet, my name is Gareth and I am the founder of Christchurch Therapy.

 

A little bit about me:

I am lucky enough to call Christchurch and New Zealand my home.

I love my sport

Like to catch up and socialise with friends

Enjoy watching a good movie

I love working with people.

Helping people is such a big passion of mine. For long as I can remember I have always loved working with and helping people. Right from a little kid I have always enjoyed giving a hand whenever I could.

This passion of mine is what has lead me here today. I have been working towards my own practice for many years now. Right back from when I first started studying down in Otago, through my time volunteering, up until today. I have consistently worked away to put together a service, which I feel that people can benefit from. I have now reached this point of my journey when it’s time to put things into action and to begin my own practice.

 

 

For he blogs themselves:

I thought I would use this as an avenue to go over some common concepts and topics that come up through my work.

 

Such topics will include:

Anxiety

Depression

Stress

Work life balance

Happiness

Weight loss

Setting goals

And a lot of others…

 

In these blog posts I will look to go over what these topics actually are. My take on what I think they mean and a few “tips and tricks” I have learnt along my journey, which I hope you will find useful.
